storage tip // there is no reason to wash cabbage. just peel and trim to remove unwanted parts. store in the drawer in your fridge while whole. it will keep longer whole than cut. once cut, store in an airtight container in the fridge.
{vegetarian times}
1 pound cabbage, thinly sliced
2-3 small fennel bulbs, diced (about 1 cup)
5 tbs chopped fresh fennel fronds
2/3 cup golden raisins
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup mayonnaise
3 tbsp lime juice
2 tsp honey
Toss together cabbage, fennel, fennel fronds, and raisins. Combine yogurt, mayonnaise, lime juice, and honey in separate bowl. Stir yogurt mixture into cabbage mixture, and season with salt and pepper if desired.
