FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q What is community supported agriculture?

A Community Supported Agriculture is an economic association between eaters and farmers.  Eaters commit to purchase food in the form of a share at a fair price for the farmer.  This stable agreement reduces the financial risk and stress for the farmer and frees us up to make decisions based on responsible ecological stewardship rather than economic necessity.  At Three Sisters we take this support seriously and strive to return a product of the highest quality for the eater.

Q What if I can't pick up my share or will be out of town?

A You have several options. Be sure to contact us by email ahead of time to let us know which option is best for you.
  • donate your share to a food pantry
  • have a friend pick up your share; be sure to communicate all the details to him/her
  • forgo delivery and add additional items to orders in subsequent weeks
  •  switch the date to a week you wouldn't typically receive a share (every other week shares only)

Q You say that I can pick 7-10 items, but how large is an item?

A Our item sizes are flexible based on the relative abundance of a crop, however we do strive to have a consistent range.

Q Can I split a share with a friend or coworker?

A Yes you can, but it is up to you, not the farm, to coordinate payments, primary contact, customizing your share, splitting your share, and share pick up with the other party.
